When Giant Moths invaded Singapore

If you're old like me, you were probably strolling in Singapore one day in 2014 and every corner you looked, you would see a big dark figure that had two black triangular wings protruding from its body, being made visible by the single white line dashing across the middle of those wings. When I was a kid, I was absolutely petrified of these things. Whether or not I was in school, going out with my parents or just being at home, these giant moths would just be resting on a wall or the ceiling, sometimes in packs. Even looking at the images make my heart skip a beat. Measuring at about 16cm, that is gigantic for an 8 year-old so naturally, I was petrified to even look any dark areas as these mostly harmless creatures were nocturnal so they would likely be in a dark area.
